What we collect
When you create a PrivNet account, we store your email address and a hashed password (never the password itself). When you add a device, we generate and store a WireGuard keypair for that device so we can produce a config file or QR code for you. We record basic page-visit analytics (page path, referring site, approximate region from your network, and which links you click) to understand how people find and use PrivNet — this is first-party only; we don't use third-party ad trackers or sell this data.
What we don't see
Once a device connects through WireGuard, your actual browsing traffic goes directly to the exit node you chose — PrivNet the portal is not in that path and has no visibility into what you do over the VPN tunnel.
Payments
Paid plans are processed by Paystack. We store the transaction reference and status, not your card details — those are handled entirely by Paystack.
Your choices
You can revoke any device at any time from your dashboard, which immediately removes its access. You can request account deletion by contacting your operator.
